3725 Wood Ave
Armstrong, BC, V0E 1B4
Phone: (250) 546-0223
Website: www.abbeyfield.ca

Abbeyfield is a non-profit society which builds housing for seniors. An Abbeyfield House is a response to one of the most pressing problems facing our time: the increasing number of elderly Canadians who are unable to live alone, yet do not want or need the services of a home for the aged or a nursing home. Abbeyfield is a very viable and realistic option to the perceived step from family home to old age institution.

Abbeyfield offers a warm, family-style House and a balance between privacy and companionship, security and independence, combined with the special caring element provided by dedicated volunteers and the consistency of a single House manager.

Each House creates a sense of "belonging" that is truly preventative medicine. With a history of four decades, our statistics show that most Abbeyfield residents take on a new lease on life. They are more fit and more inclined to live out their natural life cycle (and longer) without becoming debilitated.

Aboriginal Business Canada is an Industry Canada program that promotes the growth of commerce as one means towards economic self-sufficiency for all Aboriginal people.

Thousands of Aboriginal entrepreneurs got their start or expanded their operations with help from Aboriginal Business Canada. First Nations, Métis and Inuit business and financial institutions have also established services, and developed and strengthened their networks to create a driving force in the economy of Canada's First Peoples.

Aboriginal Business Canada is an Industry Canada program that promotes the growth of commerce as one means towards economic self-sufficiency for all Aboriginal people.
Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC) provides financial assistance, information, resource materials and referrals to other possible sources of financing or business support.

Clients must be individuals of Canadian Indian (on or off-reserve), Métis or Inuit heritage, or majority-owned Aboriginal organizations or development corporations.

We also work in partnership with Aboriginal financial and business organizations, and with a range of other agencies, boards and departments on initiatives that are helping to strengthen business skills and promote greater awareness of Aboriginal business achievement.

In this way, we are working towards the shared goal of an inclusive and prosperous economy for all Canadians.
