Community Kitchens is a program that supports individuals to use their resources more effectively to feed their families on a limited budget.The program offers practical skills in budgeting,food preparation plus meals to take home to feed their families

Learn shopping, cooking skills and nutrition for families on limited budgets. Teaches basic cooking skills, meal budgeting, menu planning and healthy eating skills.

Community kitchens is available in Vernon, Armstrong, Enderby, Salmon Arm and Lumby.

Canning Workshops - Phone 545-7617  Ask about upcoming workshop times and locations.  Donations of canning supplies graciously accepted.  Learn proper techniques.  Workshops held various times through the summer and fall.

Dinner Tonight - A non-perishable "Dinner in a Bag" for $3.00 that will feed up to 4 people.  A complete healthy meal ready in 20 minutes. Several recipes to choose from including one Vegetarian.                        Available at: People Place, First Nation's Friendship Centre, Social Planning Council, Alliance Church, Boy's & Girl's Club, Mental Health, Georgette's, Whitevalley Community Resource Centre.  For further info contact the First Nation's Friendship Centre  542-1247

Special Needs Program runs all day Wednesdays.  Each session is 10 weeks long and we have 3 sessions a year.  Work with the same student for the entire session.   Students will assess, massage and provide homecare under the supervison of a Registered Massage Therapist.  To be considered for enrollment contact the College and complete a health history form.
